I’ve MOVED my Private Coaching Practice!  Head over to:

(But keep reading below, its a good Q and A section if you need it.)

What is coaching? Is it like counseling?

Coaching is about helping you recognize and use your greatest skills and talents. It is about building self-awareness so that you can blossom and reach your full potential. It is not about “fixing” you. It is not about finding the problem and prescribing a solution, which is the direction that counseling usually takes.

Bottom-line, coaching is a relationship you enter to figure out how to live what is your heart-felt desire.

Are there different kinds of coaches?

Yes! There are those who focus on health issues, business, career, or marketing. A common kind of coach is also a “life coach”, which is another way of saying someone who wants to help you with all aspects of your life.

What kind of coach are you?

I focus on helping you make it through the transition process. Moving to a new place or job is only the beginning of the journey. I offer support and guidance with the tough issues of figuring out who you are in this new place or new role. So, I call myself a transition coach.

How do I know coaching is what I need?

As yourself some of these questions and check your emotions.

  • Did you just relocate to a new town, state, or country?
  • Do you feel frustrated, agitated, lost, or anxious about your new situation?
  • Are you determined and ready to make a significant mark – to live to your fullest potential – but you don’t know where to start?

If any of these questions hit close to home, then coaching might be a great solution for you.

But what is coaching like? What’s the process?

Typically a coaching session can be anywhere from 30 to 50 minutes. Some coaches only work over the telephone or electronic media, like skype. Some will meet you in person. I like to mix all three types, depending on what my client thinks they need. (It is surprising how powerful it can be to work over the telephone.)

Sessions usually work around having to dig deep into issues or thinking patterns (perspectives, for example). Coaches have a lot of different methods of doing this, from making you act something out, do visualization work, to having you come up with another kind of creative homework that will make something stick. I like to use photography and other images that evoke emotion. In the end, I pay attention to what works for my client and am open to their individual style.

At the end of a session I always make sure my client leaves with a powerful question to reflect on or an action they need to take or practice. (I offer unlimited email check-ins for this reason.)

How long does it take ?

I offer packages starting at no less than 3 months for up to a year. Because coaching is a process, anyone who offers to coach you to your full potential in less than that is not being honest. It takes commitment, consistency, and practice to discover and develop new ways of doing things. A 3 month relationship will get you started.

I’ve found that 6 to 9 months seems to be the optimal period for real development and growth. (It mirrors another miracle that takes the same amount of time.) Once we have established a rewarding coaching relationship, I also will agree to work with you once a month, on a retainer fee.

How much does it cost?

I offer several packages, that start at 150 € per 50 minute session. Every package includes an initial discovery session, which takes 90 minutes to 2 hours, where we establish not only the ground rules and expectations of our work together, but I get to know you at the deepest level I can in order to ask the kind of questions that will truly motivate you or provide clarity.

How can I afford it?

I offer several different ways to pay. You can pay monthly or all at once for your package. I offer discounts for immediate payment and longer term clients. And as I do this work because I love it and want to make a difference in the world, I also offer a scholarship once a quarter to clients who show real motivation, commitment and financial need.

What if I am still not sure?

I understand. This is a big decision. An important one. What if we don’t click? There are a lot of people who call themselves coaches, but aren’t. I offer a sample session, so we can “test drive” the relationship. This is a 30 minute telephone call/skype (or we can meet up if you live in Munich) where we get to know each other a bit, and my chance to show you how powerful coaching can be!

Are your hands tingling? Is your heart beating faster? Those are sure signs that this is the next step.

“The most basic and powerful way to connect to another person is to listen. Just listen. Perhaps the most important thing we ever give each other is our attention…. A loving silence often has far more power to heal and to connect than the most well-intentioned words.” ~ Rachel Naomi Remen
